Les Folios et les non-écrits -
Les enluminures, les lettrines et les marques laissées dans les manuscrits anciens (latins, grecs, égyptiens) sont la source d’inspiration de Brigite. Lentement et patiemment elle construit sa toile.
Chaque bandelette est un tableau en soi. Individuellement créées, elles sont rassemblées par surjetage dans une esthétique avenante pour former le corps du tableau. Le travail est long et minutieux et rappelle le long procédé de la reliure ancienne. Par des jeux d’ombre et de lumière, elle crée une distance avec les motifs. Ses glacis donnent profondeur et intensité à ses couleurs pour en fixer des instants d’éternité.
Elle vit chaque tableau comme une aventure.
Folios and unwritten -
The illuminations, drop caps, and the marks left in the ancient manuscripts (Latin, Greek, Egyptian) are inspiration for Brigite. She slowly and patiently builds her canvas. Each strip is an array itself. Individually created, they are assembled by sewing machine in an attractive appearance to form the body of the table. The work is long and painstaking process and reminds one of old bindings on books. Through games of shadow and light, it creates a distance with the reasons. Her glazes give depth and intensity to her colors to set moments of eternity. She lives each painting as an adventure.
