Sanders Pinault

In transforming this utilitarian and somewhat uncomfortable object, inspiration was slow in coming. While waiting for it to emerge, the chair's shape was transformed and it finally appeared. The wood out of which it is made, came back to life. Once again it was breathing, burgeoning, even cheerfully howling. It gave birth to three flowers, members of the same family.
Sanders Pinault is a sculptor, print-maker and painter. She chose sculpture to interpret the chair.
"A big thank-you to Mona Godbout and  Michel Fradette for all their help"
