Gissa Israel

"I am a theatre person, a live performer, a storyteller, a playwright.  What do I know about drawing, painting, etching, sketching, or making pretty designs especially on an ordinary, bordering on ugly, whitewashed wooden chair.

I stared at that chair and I stared at that chair and finally I thought of theatre, of my pieces, a piece of me, my colours, my wraps, my glitz and glamour and that’s how this chair was born. In the end I did have fun but in the beginning it was torture. Surprise, surprise, isn’t that the creative process that I've come to love.

I am very happy to be among all these fabulous artists and I am certainly happy to support the Salle Alec & Gerard Pelletier."
